The event will be held online on 10 September 2021.

Afternoon session: Showcasing your collection in an online video

1.30 – 3.45          Run by Media Players International, this training session will cover:

  • What makes an effective online video: getting through versus giving out
  • Pitching correctly to the audience and telling a good story.
  • Video as a ‘conversation’ with the audience. Getting a conversational tone in a talk format. Getting the structure right.
  • Discussion of museum video examples (what works and what doesn’t)
  • Tips for interviewers in conversation type videos.
  • Some technical tips on filming
  • Demo of how to drop in pictures when editing your video.
