Greek Pottery Day

In the British Museum Antiquities reading room, a small group of people are seated round a table with three Greek Pots arranged in low trays. There are two speakers behind the pots. The older man (Thomas Mannack) leans forward to add emphasis to a point and his colleague (Ollie Croker) raises an eyebrow. Everybody is wearing blue gloves to handle the pots.

On Friday the 13th of September, the Classical Collections Network ran a training day on Greek pottery for anyone working with collections in UK museums including (or thought to include) ancient Greek pottery. On 6th of October 2023, the Classical Collections Network organised a visit to Return of the Gods at Liverpool World Museum and a workshop on “Using Classical Collections Creatively”.
